Piman's Mission

Reduce the cost of designing and developing accessible web pages, while considering more inclusive usage scenarios and more diverse user needs.

Piman Key Summary

Origin of Piman Accessible UI Framework

  • Cannot require all participants to deeply understand accessibility guidelines.

  • Foreign UI frameworks and packages do not fully align with Taiwan's regulations.

  • Automated scanning and manual testing create schedule pressure.

  • A perfunctory attitude causes trouble for users who truly need help.

  • Every company needs a Design System.

  • Most government agencies still require support for IE11.

Users and Stakeholders

  • Designers: Quickly start design projects and connect with front-end development.

  • Slice developers: Can focus on layouts and cue engineers on details.

  • Front-end engineers: Can focus on higher-priority tasks and improve UX.

  • Stakeholders: PMs and QAs perform self-checks to reduce risks.

Solutions

  • Design System mockups (Figma)

  • Various packaged components (Vue 2, Vue 3 in development)

  • Simple project templates (Nuxt 2 & 3)

  • Consolidated checklists and testing tools
