FAQ

What do you need to understand before using the Piman UI framework?

tothe Accessibility Web Service (Digital Accessibility Web Service)arrow-up-rightbe familiar with various accessible web design guidelines

Understand WAI-ARIA and remember that the purpose of WAI-ARIA is: No ARIA is better than Bad ARIAarrow-up-right

Be patient and learn about accessible web topics slowly. You are also welcome to follow our Instagramarrow-up-right, where we will occasionally share tips.

If I use Piman, will my website automatically comply with accessibility standards?

Unfortunately, we wish that were the case, but because each website’s goals and content differ and layouts vary, you still need knowledge of accessible web design standards to build your site. Piman currently provides Figma design filesarrow-up-right , Vue 2 componentsarrow-up-rightand a simple Nuxt 2 templatearrow-up-right(Vue 3 and Nuxt 3 templates are under development)

What about browser support?

The Piman Vue 2 version supports modern mainstream browsers and IE11. The planned Piman Vue 3 version does not support IE because the Vue 3 framework itself no longer supports IE.

I'm still not satisfied with Piman. Do you recommend any UI frameworks that follow accessibility guidelines?

Of course. If you want to design accessible websites, we’re happy to provide information beyond Piman.

Most mainstream UI frameworks today should comply with accessibility guidelines, for example Bootstraparrow-up-right, and our personal recommendation is IBM's Carbonarrow-up-right, because it includes three major frontend frameworks and has complete demos and documentation. Or you can choose headless options like:https://headlessui.dev/arrow-up-right and https://www.radix-ui.com/arrow-up-right These headless libraries focus on behavior, while you build the UI style yourself.

One thing to note is that Piman pays special attention to Taiwan’s Digital Development Department accessibility regulations, so when using other frameworks you may encounter issues detected by Taiwan’s scanning software (freego) or by manual inspection.

Also, the Vue 2 version supports IE11, allowing older devices to be used, but note that IE11 is no longer maintained and poses security risks. Developers need to evaluate how to balance accessibility goals with security concerns.

What resources are available for download?

Piman offers the following resources so you don’t have to take a long detour from design to frontend development
